Member Quilt

ONLINE MEMBERS QUILT FOR SMALL INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS

For small individual donations of $10 or more, donors will be placed on an online “member’s quilt.” This online member’s quilt allows individual donors to be recognized as members in our work on knitting together a disaster resistant and sustainable community. It is modeled on the Patchwork Quilt approach to fundraising highlighted in the hazard mitigation field (see http://stormsmart.org/uploads/patchwork-quilt/patchwork_quilt.pdf) , and in honor of an initial donation by our Founding Director Ann Patton to recognize her aunt, Mae Maness, an ardent quilter and inspiration for Ann’s own community activism . This online quilt would be separate from the corporate donations of $1500 or above.

 Recognition size on the online quilt will be based on level of donation.

-$10 one square—text only

-$100 two squares—text only

-$300 four squares—photo or graphic and text

-$500 six squares—photo or graphic and text

-$1000 nine squares—photo or graphic and text

Individual donors will be able to become members in the Natural Hazard Mitigation Association at only $15/year/person ($50 value), as an affiliate of Tulsa Partners. (NHMA members are: “Engineers, planners, government officials, community activists, academics, practitioners. . . (and) people involved in building resilient organizations and communities.”)
